Putting the Declaration into action

For World No Tobacco Day 2025, GYV developed Declaration in Action: Unmasking the Tobacco Industry's Appeal, Demanding Accountability for Its Harms.

The publication applied the 2024 Declaration to evolving industry strategies affecting young people, including flavors, digital marketing, sponsorship, CSR, environmental narratives, harm reduction claims, and new addictive products.

This established an important institutional model: the Declaration remains the shared foundation, while “Declaration in Action” applies that framework to emerging policy challenges without rewriting the adopted Declaration.
